4 Star Gold!

I have now been up and running for a few weeks. The change from having no guests to sharing my house with people has been exciting (if a little scary). The most exciting development this week was an overnight guest I had who turned out to be the AA Inspector!! After serving his breakfast and tidying up he appeared to pay his bill and to present me with his card. I am pleased to announce that he liked what he found. I have been awarded a 4 star gold award for the bed and breakfast which I am very chuffed with. He only had a few suggestions such as to put a sign outside to make it easier for you all to find me, which is now on the way.

4 Star B&B Landscape

I am excited about the week ahead and this weeks new arrivals. It will be a busy weekend as Chester gears up for the races this weekend. Hopefully the rain will stay away and we can all enjoy some sunshine down at the racecourse.

  1. Five stars simply is not enough to award 80 Watergate Street.
From the moment you arrive until long after you leave you have the feeling of being spoilt. Katie has obviously learned her trade in quality establishments and has bought all her experience together to give the customer a wonderful feeling of luxury.
Her attention to detail is simply stunning and probably borders on an obsession to make everything perfect. On arrival we were treated to afternoon tea and homemade muffins that were simply delicious.
Tea and coffee was also available in the huge living room of the suite but even that was extraordinary as there was every Nespresso capsule imagineable for the coffee maker and four of Katies own brand teas that she has gone to great lengths to perfect, The breakfast tea was so good that I simply had to bring a bag home. There was also a biscuit tin with the most delicious homemade cookies
The suite was beautifully decorated and every possible convenience had been thought of even down to bathrobes and slippers in the amazing bathroom. This room had a lovely copper freestanding bath and a truly heavenly shower. The towels in the bathroom also oozed quality, they were better than we have at home!
The bedroom was again perfectly decorated and the bed itself was wonderfully comfortable with a top quality duvet. If you got too warm (we did) there was a dyson blade style fan in the room.
After all this we expected a wonderful cooked breakfast and we were definitely not left disappointed least not by Katies homemade breads, jams and curds.
B&B does not do 80 Watergate Street justice, is there boutique B&B yet?
Katie herself was the most perfect host with the wonderful knack of being there when required and not when she wasn’t. She could not have been more helpful and has an excellent knowledge of what to do and where to eat in Chester. She even made reservations for us. We cannot praise her highly enough for the experience she has put together and we sincerely hope that this venture is a huge success.
The property has it all, perfect location, luxurious facilities and an amazing owner.
